Because Americans must never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honour winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone otherwise they be guilty of profiling.

Appropriateness

People that know me don't think that I'm some sort of prude (trust me on this) but I find the way that most people think... odd. Here's an example;

I want to bring the girls to see War of the Worlds and I asked someone if it was OK for younger kids. He said 'Oh yeah there's no nudity or anything in it'. I said 'hmm..., I read in an article that there was a scene where there where hundreds of dead bodies blocking up a river'. His response was 'Oh yeah that's there but there's no nudity'. It strikes me as odd that seeing a boobie is worse than seeing a bunch of mangled corpses in a river. I've always thought that if the child was able to handle it than it was OK, if they can't handle it than it wasn't OK. Seems simple to me, than I came across this little gem and everything made sense...
